Jared ♥ Jensen RPS
Welcome to JARED♥JENSEN RPS, a community by J2 fans, for J2 fans. All J-squared fic is welcome here - any rating, any genre, any length - so long as it features the pairing of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. Even gen fic is fine so long as Jared and Jensen are the focus. Threesome (or moresome!) pairings that include Jared and Jensen are welcome as well.

Additionally, we welcome graphics, fanart, and fanworks that focus on Jared/Jensen [together, not individually]. That means J2 icons J2 art, and J2 fanmixes are all acceptable [and awesome!] to post. If you have a question about what is/isn't acceptable to post, please PM the maintainer.

This is an open community for all authors of J2 to post.

This isn't a place for die hard gossiping or speculation - believe me, we all love to imagine the boys together, it's why we do what we do, but there are plenty of J2 communities for that. Looking for one of those? Check the RESOURCES. So, this is a place for sharing your creative fiction/works with a receptive audience. No more, no less.

The GUIDELINES are simple:

1. The focus of your story/work should be Jared/Jensen. Other pairings are welcome, even others paired with Jared and Jensen, so long as J2 is the main event. People come here for the J2 lovin' and you know you need to give the people what they want!

2. Stories should be labeled clearly and contain, at the very least, the following: Title. Rating. Summary. Warnings [if applicable]. Other fields you can add: Other Pairings. Word Count. Author's Notes. Beta.

3. Linking back to your personal journal is fine, as long as posts aren't f-locked.

4. For kindness' sake, banners are welcome but should be behind a cut.

5 If you're posting chapters of a Work in Progress, please be kind and refrain from posting multiple chapters per day. For example, if you have three new chapters to post at once, link to them in one post instead of making three separate posts, please!

Here's a few that aren't rules - more like suggestions and ideas:

- Got a Work In Progress? That's all right! However, once people start reading WIP's, they're likely to get hooked, so posting a 'Master Post' at your journal that you can link to from each posted chapter is a great idea. It allows people to keep track of your work and jump in the story at any time.

- Been a while since you updated a WIP? No big deal. If that's the case and you want to post a new chapter here, think about writing a short summary of the previous chapters just in case readers aren't familiar with it.

- Master Lists are a good way to easily show readers your body of work. Consider posting one in your journal to keep track of your mad crazy writing skills! If you've recently compiled a Fic Master List, feel free to post about it here! You might gain some newly interested readers!

- I know some authors have certain ways they like to post their fics - but here are some suggestions we've gathered during our time in fandom: when you post, try not to use fonts other than the community default. That way, they'll show up perfectly on everyone's friends pages and your entry won't be skipped due to unreadability. If you post your summary in bright green and someone has a red layout, not only will they probably skip your entry, but go colourblind as well ;)

In the rare case a post doesn't fit our criteria, or something's wrong, a maintainer will either fix the issue or contact you privately. No big hullabahoos here - we just want things to be simple! If you'd like to tag your own posts with author:, pairing:, and rating: [just check out our current tags to see how it's being done], feel free to do so, or your post will be tagged later on.
